Education, health and welfare, carried village to village

Sitamaa Sahayata Foundation is a non-profit welfare organisation based in Barwani, Madhya Pradesh, working to close access gaps in learning, preventive health and community wellbeing.

Education

Help children keep learning, in school and between seasons: reading circles, scholarship forms and bridge classes after migration.

A health worker checking on a smiling man at his home

Healthcare

Check-ups with ASHAs and ANMs, anaemia checks for girls and sickle cell screening.

Villagers sitting in a field for a group discussion

Awareness

Nutrition with local foods, hygiene and labour rights.

Community welfare

Ayushman cards, pensions, ID corrections, and small help in the monsoon, with the gram panchayat.

Who we are

Built with the villages we work in, not for them

The foundation began in 2026 with a small group of volunteers from Barwani itself, in Madhya Pradesh. We sit with families in the villages, ask what is missing, and organise what we can manage with the people and time we have: a reading circle for children, a check-up camp close to home, an awareness session on hygiene and nutrition.

There is no office and no paid staff. Volunteers are neighbours, doctors come from nearby towns, and the work runs on the time they give. Anything we have not yet documented is labelled plainly on this site rather than presented as a record, so families and donors can see what has happened and what is still being planned.
